The owners of a 2010 Ford F150 contacted the Atlanta Police Department to report a company truck was stolen from a job site overnight. The truck had been parked at a new job site that they had been using for construction work.

The Atlanta PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford truck.

A short while later officers from the Atlanta PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to a side street in Atlanta where it was spotted with a person driving it.

The APD officer made a stop on the Ford with assistance from other officers and arrested the driver on the theft. The Ford F150 was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F150 in May 2010 at Crown Ford in Fayetteville, Georgia.
