The owner of a 2016 Ford F350 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from the 8800 block of West Ann. The owner had parked his truck in front of his residence leaving the keys in the truck as he uses the keypad on the truck door to access the vehicle. He then went inside for the evening. When he returned the next morning he found the truck missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

10 minutes later officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the intersection of Athena and Blue Hurst where the Ford was found unoccupied and unharmed. The Ford was recovered and returned back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 in November 2015 at Friendly Ford in Las Vegas, Nevada.
