Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The owners of a 2006 Ford F750 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the intersection of Tamiyasu and Maule. The Ford water truck was left at a construction site for the night and the keys were left inside it. When the workers returned the next day it was missing.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

4 minutes later a vehicle equipped with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTCs) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the Ford was tracked to an industrial park near the intersection of Sunset and Bruce. The Police were then notified to its location and responded to recover the Ford. The Ford was recovered unharmed and returned back to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F750 in August 2005 and was a Commercial Installation.
